I
was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After many travels and
studies in the U.S. and Europe, I enrolled in California College
of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA. (Graduated 1985).
My training
as an artist encompassed not only painting, but many other
mediums, (watercolor, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, and
graphic design).
I have
a great admiration for human beauty. Through the years I have
focused on the human form as my main source of inspiration.
When working from the model or creating abstracts I hope to
evoke the emotional as well as expressing the sensuality of
the interpretations. There is such an element of surprise
involved when making art, I feel really lucky and a great
sense of accomplishment when I actually think a piece of work
is good, or, if I think it is even finished.
