My
earliest childhood memories are not of snatches of conversation
or a day at the playground, but of colors, forms, and space.
I have always been enchanted with art. After a decade of abstract
painting, I returned to my early fondness for bright recognizable
forms. Vibrant images of animals, cups, ladders and human
figures appeared for the first time in my paintings. These
archetypal images stem from daily life. They offer the opportunity
to re-examine our most fundamental relationships and provide
an understanding of the interconnectedness of everyone and
everything. Magic.
A main component of my thinking is how transcendence and immanence
exist simultaneously. The actual working begins with my first
languagecolor. Art bridges the spheres of the prosaic
world and the metaphysical. My ambition is to coalesce the
immediate unconscious connection between inner self and the
primordial creative forces of the universe.
